Many guest know Sam Roi Yod National
Park by means of guidebooks or a visit to the famous Pra Ya Nakhon
cave, but hardly anybody is acquainted with other parts of the park.
Our tour starts at 9.00 from your hotel and leads first to the Sai
Cave inside the park. It has been discovered only a couple of years
ago. To reach the top we have to climb up the hill for about 300
meters. The ascent is a bit strenuous, but it's truly worth going.
On the way up there are a lot of beautiful, tropical plants and you
can enjoy the tremendous view of the coastline. Inside the cave
there are astonishing stalactites and stalagmites, some shaped like
elephants, tigers and other animals.
After exploring the cave our tour
leads to a mooring.
From there our bout trip starts
along mangrove swaps. This takes about an hour. A lot of birds are
always around and you can see the Khao Dang Mountain, which became
well known due to the movie "Killing Field".
After the boat trip we go to a
Thai farm, where the farmer's prepares lunch for us. After lunch the
guide leads the tour group over the farm. There you get some
insights into the living conditions in the country. The farmer's
family cultivates pineapple, aloe vera and rice.
Then we visit a Chinese temple and
a nature trail. There you can learn about plants and wildlife, which
are at home in Sam Roi Yod. There are living more than 300 species
of birds, a lot of lizards and wild monkeys. And in the sea
sometimes dolphins can be spotted.
After we go back to Hua Hin and
arrive there about 16.00.
Good shoes are advantageous.
Vielen Gästen ist der Sam Roi Yod Nationalpark
bekannt, durch Reise-führer oder durch
einen Besuch der Phra Ya Nakorn Höhle. Kaum ein Tourist kennt den
weiteren Teil des Nationalparkes.Unsere Fahrt startet 9.00 Uhr vom
Hotel und führt uns direkt zur Sai Höhle im Sam Roi Yod
Nationalpark. Diese Höhle wude erst vor wenigen Jahren entdeckt. Um
in die Höhle zu gelangen müssen wir etwa 280 Meter den Berg hinauf
klettern. Der etwas anstrengende Aufstieg lohnt sich. Wir sehen
vielen Pflanzen und haben einen herrlichen Ausblick über das
Küstenpanorama. In der Höhle sehen wir aus Tropfsteinen, in
Millionen von Jahren, geformete Natursteingebilde die Elefanten,
Tigern und anderen Tieren ähnlich sind. Nach dem Höhlenrundgang und
dem Abstieg geht unser Fahrt weiter zu einer Bootsanlegestelle, von
wo aus wir unsere 1 stündige Bootsfahrt, entlang Mangroven-wäldern
starten. Neben einer vielzahl von Vögeln, sehen wir auch den
berühmten Berg Khao Dang, der durch den Film Killing Fields bekannt
wurde. Anschliessend geht es mit unserem Minibus weiter zu einer
Thailän-dischen Farm. wo die Farmers-familie
schon mit dem Mittagessen auf uns wartet. Nach dem Thailän-dischen
Menü, führt uns unser Reiseleiter über die Farm. Wir sehen wie
einfach Thais auf dem Lande leben und wir sehen auch den Anbau von
Reis, Ananas und Aloevera. Wir besuchen einen Chinesischen Tempel
und fahren anschliessend zu einem Naturlehr-pfad
der mit Tafeln versehen ist auf denen die verschiedenen Pflanzen und
Tiere beschrieben sind. Im Sam Roi Yod Nationalpark gibt es noch 316
verschiedene Arten von Vögeln und eine ganze Reihe von Tieren, wie
Dolphin, Eidechsen und Affen. Nach unserem Rundgang auf dem
Naturlehrpfad fahren wir wieder zurück nach Hua Hin.
